MAQ Software, Digital Marketing and Solutions company, today announced its successful achievement of ISO 27001 certification, the highest internationally accepted standard for Information Security.

ISO 27001 standards provide the best practice guidance on protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information. ISO 27001 is a revised and enhanced version of BS 7799 standard. The standard provides an ISMS model for adequate and proportionate security controls to protect information assets.

British Standards Institution (BSI) granted the certification after assessing the effectiveness of controls implemented in the process under the scope of ISO 27001:2005. ISO 27001 is the only auditable international standard which defines the requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). The standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls.
